New Rolex Yacht-Master Everose Gold (Live Images)
During this years Baselworld, I paid the guys over at Rolex a visit and was lucky enough to shoot the new Yacht-Master Everose Gold on Oysterflex (yes that is now a thing)
You can read the full write-up here, though it would be interesting to hear what peoples opinions are on it? |

Really nice photos.
Personally, I am not a fan of the watch. Looks like a Bamford Sub. |

I like it. It's a bit edgier by Rolex standards. I can see it really doing particularly well with the younger crowd.

My concern is that after a few weeks in hot weather and the ocean, you're going to have an expensive watch on a smelly rubber bracelet. Seems odd that Rolex put a rubber strap on one of the 'divers' least likely to go diving...and not to make it an option instead of standard.

I didn't like it at first (Baselworld 2015 announcement day) but it's slowly growing on me more and more.

Like the head of the watch but the plastic strap should have had a conventional buckle. I don't want a rubber/plastic bracelet but a rubber dive strap. One of the advantages of a rubber dive strap is you don't have a large clasp to get caught on your gear and get all scratched up. The Rolex rubber strap kinda defeats the purpose of being able to quickly adjust the strap as one would with a traditional rubber dive strap.

I think it's a good look for the Yachtmaster. The rose gold looks great with the black dial and bezel. I am personally not a fan of the new rubber strap, it makes the piece look confused. If anything the rubber strap would make more sense as an option for a stainless Submariner. If they offered the YM on a bracelet I think it would really look great.

I love that Rolex has developed a strap like this. Not exactly sure what elastomer is, but from what I have read, it is not rubber, hence shouldn't have the issues rubber is prone to. Also love the Bexonn site, watches and single malt scotch, what's not to like?

Thanks. I'm currently in Scotland at the moment go from one distillery to the next. So I've had one week of pure watches (Basel) and now one pure Scottish whisky... Things could be worse :)
