After reading this entire thread JJ, I'm convinced the YM is as good as gone. Your track record speaks for itself. Only keeping it will make all of us believers. If you think about selling it, don't forget about my Sicilian cousins.

Funny you should ask JJ. I am currently on a chronograph binge. I can't afford a vintage Rolex Daytona, so I got the next best thing on Tuesday:

A vintage 1966-68 Heurer Autavia chronograph, complete with contrasting registers on the dial, a diver's bezel, and a Valjoux 72 movement. All for about $24,000 USD less than a comparable vintage Daytona. I have not had time to take any macro photos yet, but here is a scan of the 1968 ad for the watch. It's the one in the middle.

Nice addition
Do you have your collection on display at home? That would be a cool picture to see also.
I really need to get something to hold mine propery. The bottom of a sock drawer isn't where they are supposed to be resting

No, I have my watches spread out all over the place. I keep a silent four watch winder near the bed, a LOUD eight watch winder in the closet buried under a bunch of clothes so I don't have to listen to it, and a bunch of individual watches in various drawers around the house and in the office.

Nothing in my house is where you would expect it to be. I hope to confuse any thieves that might be tempted to break in (if I am not here to shoot them first) by making them hunt for the goodies. That way, I can get home in time to shoot them later.

Hey, if I'm gonna be tied for second place with anyone, I'm happy it's you, big guy! BTW, wearing that Orange shirt (you wore in London) for casual Friday today?

The shirt matches your helmet.

Ditto, pal.

As for the shirt, I get lots of compliments on it. I actually bought it in London last year. I walked into the Ted Baker shop in Covent Garden (my son had asked us to look around for a Ted Baker shirt for him). I saw this one and loved it. Went back and got another one this year - not quite as colorful. Maybe I'll take a pic for you when I wear it.

Were the lights on when you bought it?

You know... Omega makes a nice big dive watch that would compliment that shirt of yours beautifully...

I'll see if I can find a pic and post it here.

Ah, my little secret.

Or, you can go up to the tool bar and click on the "Align Center" tab.

Thanks JJ. I think I am up to about 15 or 16 watches, give or take one or two. Half the collection is vintage and half is modern. I went on a spending spree last year after I won a big case, so that fueled the fire.

I used to collect guitars. I still have 15 or 16 of those too, laying around in various places. One of these days I will have a place in the house where I can display everything. The problem is, with two children and two step-children, space is at a premium in my house. I don't have anyplace to call my own. And things that get left out get broken!

I probably would not even know they're gone. You can take the vintage DJ and 1675, or maybe the modern Speedy. I barely wear those. See you today around 5:00 p.m.?

You will do much MORE than just stopping by to say "hello", David. We'll have lunch and drinks together and talk watches all day. Then you will have to see some cleavages and watches at Mansor's, then a visit to my favourite NIKE shop, then.....okay, okay, we'll save the best bits for when you get here, pal!!
