Brand new BLNR watch 3186 movement running fast

If you haven't tried yet, keep the watch on its side, crown down, overnight while sleeping. Unless you're one of those weird people who sleep with their watch on. It will make the movement run a tick slower, just like dial-up will make it run a tick faster.

So its showing a accuracy of 99.995% please don't get too anal over a second or so there are 86400 in a day.Trust me this constant checking and sometimes worrying over a few seconds will take the enjoyment of wearing and owning your Rolex watch.

I use the Watchville app on my iPhone to set my watches but I never bother checking their accuracy.

First three days of ownership...had some variability in accuracy. Last seven days...still accurate to half a second.

Perhaps it takes a few days to properly break in after shipping.

Rolex tests their own movements cased in various expensive machines they have released pictures of and people have seen. Rolex says so, and now they say they are testing their watches better than COSC. I believe what Rolex says about Rolex vs your skepticism.

Dont forget it takes 12 months to make a Rolex oyster that must be true as Rolex used to state this,but in the real world its just pure marketing.And to gain the the chronometer status Rolex movements are tested to exactly the same spec as any other Swiss brand that's sent for COSC testing.Most any modern day movement today could with careful regulation pass or surpass the Swiss COSC test.Yes even some what many would call a very very low brand.After careful regulation a Chinese made Seagull ST19 manual wind chronograph movement can when regulated correctly run well inside the COSC spec as I have done it.And that complete watch cost then $60 a truly amazing movement for very little money still running strong after almost 8 years of use.

I'm just a little bit worried. I purchased a new BLNR from an AD March 1. Been wearing it off and on, so there have been time when I had to reset it. For the last couple of days, I've been wearing it steady for about 4 days. I check it tonight, AND IT'S ALMOST 2.5 HOURS FAST!! No, I check the date and it was correct. It was running when I pulled it our to wear it. 2.5 HOURS??? Even though I purchased from an AD, I've had a doubt in my mind. The bracelet doesn't feel like my Sub. Feels slightly lighter. Pulled two links off my sub. Only one link off this GMT. AD sold it to me at a good price too? slightly below msrp. I can't help but think of worse case scenario. Rolex Svc Ctr tells me it's fake. AD tells me the one they sold me was real. Then what? Am I jumping the gun?

UPDATE. Within a few minutes after I wrote this, I started thinking (thank god). I went and moved the watch past 12 midnight. It didn't move the date, and it should have. It apparently stopped, and started when I picked it up to put it on. I don't think it should've stopped as quick as it did. But I could be wrong,,,,,again!!

They asked my permission to do a wrist test, where their techs use another bracelet and wear the watch during the day to see the watch in a real world setting. I'm waiting on the results now, they said probably 1 or 2 weeks to test it.

Make sure you give it a solid 40 turns to wind it fully. Set it with an app to the exact second. Then monitor. As long as you keep wearing it, or keep it on a winder if you are not going to wear it for awhile, it should keep pretty good time. I set my GMTc the 1st of each month and give it a full wind at the same time. I either wear it, or keep it on a winder but I don't have to wind it during the month. When I set the watch on the 1st of March (had to update the date) it was 16 seconds slow over the last 29 days. Not too shabby.

People have mentioned the way you lay the watch while you sleep which does something but I don't know.

Reading this I'm sick for you. I'd want to have Rolex give me a brand spanking new one. Sorry.

I recommend you to use the watchtracker app, is the perfect way to test your accuracy. This was my BLnr test from two weeks ago, I think it lost -1.1 on the 22 because I didn't wear the watch that day
