sale help

Hi guys this isnt an advertisment to sell (hence i wont mention watch model)

Purely want some advice

I want to sell my rolex and I am sick and tired of dreamers who call me. So i would like to sell to a reputable business that isnt going to ask me if my rolex is fake.

For those of you in the UK, I am based in sheffield south yorkshire and i did a google search and can only seem to find items of beauty and watch finder who actively state they buy watches for cash.

My only issue is they are 200+ miles away from me and I wanted to knw if there was any one else local or even with a 100 miles of me?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Ps i have tried ebay/gumtree and all i am getting is dreamers who want a bargain beyond belief

And i am being realistic, i purchased my rolex in june 2014 for £5400 and would like £4600 ovno. Is that being realistic for a fantatsic condition full set?

Sold my TT sub on E-Bay mate with no problems. Have you offered it for sale on here? Become a pledge member and do that?

Edit - I see you have tried E-Bay did you do an auction or buy it now?

Try getting a quote from watchfinder just to see what they would offer you. They normally offer more if you consider a trade in for a different watch. You don't need to live near to where they're based, you can send your watch by recorded delivery.

Ive heard horror stories regarding posting watches

I would enjoy the process of face to face meeting and cash collection rather than hassle of sending ou

Just sell to a local business. When I used to work at a jewelry store, we looked to make approximately $500 per watch for the standard SS Rolex after we polished etc the watch. It may not be worth the aggravation selling online and having to ship the watch.

I've used watch finder 3 times. Recently in the last month I was offered £400 less by iconic that watch finder paid for the same model. Proposed a trade in to both companies so no difference there. Post special delivery and not an issue.

I've used Blowers in Hull. Reasonable deal and nice people.

Ask a trusted seller here. I think risk free fair transaction is worth every penny oc premium you would be paying.

Submariner Date will fetch £4200 max at a dealer so yes you are being unrealistic.

You might get £4600 privately but you will have to deal with the time wasters and scammers.

If you flip a luxury watch after less than a year you will lose a lot of money. Man up and take the hit.

Try Blowers in Hull but with them it is unlikely you will get £4600 for a watch you paid £5400 almost 10 months ago

Watchfinder have been great for me too, I got as much as I'd get selling privately with minimal hassle/risk in two recent sales.
