Is this AP real?

Seller on Craigslist claims:

"royal oak off shore audemar piquet i do not have the original box or papers but it is authentic feel free to contact me at (telephone)."

Apart from the price, the fact he cant properly spell Audemars Piguet is kind of a sign.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Pretty poor fake if you ask me. Why buy from Craigslist? If you're wanting to buy one - try one of our trusted sellers

Guys guys. That's a rare square date offshore. And a very rare Quartz movement. Buy it now!

In case anyone doesn't get it, I meant to be sarcastic

Not a good one, watches are like cars there is rarely a true bargain, if it looks too good then it is. Quartz does not equal this model.

the sub-dial cutting into the 5 and the date window is all you need to glance at to tell. maybe a 2-300 dollar fake.

Probably, even if there are so many red signs on this one, no box or papers, the price, quartz written on the case back, but again when people see a real "bargain", their brain is often on slow motion, I can imagine you pay 5K and sooner or later some WIS is going to tell you that it's a fake,

Fake!!!!! You just need to be able to look at the date window, subdials, etc. Familiarize yourself with how the ROO dials and spacing look like. Good luck!

If you see an ROO for 5k, it will be fake.

99.99% of owners know a ballpark figure of their watch value. 5k is not close. You can walk into any pawn shop and get more than 5k for that watch so if it looks too good to be true, it always is.
