Dropped rolex!
So yesterday morning, i dropped my 1987 Date from hand height while standing to a wooden floor.
There is no visible damage and it runs smoothly, although i may have lost a minute in a day...still checking the accuracy as it was only serviced 3 weeks ago it should be very accurate. Anyway...whats the concensus, it is runs smooth but if it is losing time should i get it checked? should pull out the crown to stop it running in case it damaging it? Is lit likely to be damaged internally? Not sure wether to be hyper careful or not Thoughts? Mart |

This happened to me, watch was on bed and got flicked off by lifting the covers to look for it.
The coil spring bound up, it was an easy fix by my watch maker. Good luck. |

No, it's likely to not be damaged at all if you don't see any and it is running fine. That's probably less shock than the occasional knock on a doorknob that they all get from time-to-time..

I dropped a Rolex once and dented the 9 o'clock side of the case, it kept ticking well for another 6 years; then returned from a full service looking and running like brand new, I cannot even see the original dent.
As long as you did not crack the crystal, the damage is only the sharp pain felt in your heart

I dropped my 1991 Date about 3 ft down, it came up running fine. Not something I will repeat though.

A bit of sticky tape should do it.

Ouch! I'm going to guess $400 to fix.

Dropped by Pelagos onto tiled floor at the gym last week. Dented the case but all working fine so not worried at the moment.

Ouch Rebel. Those things are so expensive! It's ridiculous how much they cost outside a plan.

Apple Care told me to drop the phone off at the Apple Store and they'll give me replacement while it's being fixed. 120.00 to fix it, that's what she said

That sounds about right. I was told even if you did not have Apple Care it costs about the same (for an iphone 6, 6 plus must be a bit more)

Yes, no insurance. First time I've broken a mobile phone 22 years. Guess I was due.
Didn't mean to hijac the OP thread

That's a great deal! Buddy of mine was quoted $400 for less damage at an independent store.
