Need help making a decision on Daytona

I'm on a list for a SS Daytona and now have the chance to get a new TT Daytona for the price of a SS one. Do a waite until the SS comes in or get the TT for the same money?

I would personally go for the SS one. I have a TT one and although it's much nicer in my opinion (I also had the choice of both), it's probably a more sensible move to go for the SS one due to their rarity. You're obviously more likely to get a discount on the TT and a premium on the SS making them about the same price so it's down to your preference !

Tough call

I have a SS Daytona, and yesterday I tried on a TT with a black mother-of-pearl dial. It moved me so much that I went back to the store three times to try it on again. I could sell the SS and get the TT, but in the end, I decided that I would regret it. The SS is the most versatile watch I've ever owned, and the TT would work beautifully as an addition, but not as a replacement.

Hope that helps.

If you are on the list for a SS I would wait and get it. It is much harder to go from TT to SS but if you don't like the SS you can easily sell and buy a TT later.

Good luck.

VERY easy choice...SS Daytona, especially if you can get one at MSRP. And can wait for it :)

There are some great TT dials too. I wouldn't automatically dismiss them. I have looked hard at the grey dial and gold sub-dial models. They accent the TT bracelet and case VERY nicely.

See, I'd go TT, esp. if I could get that with the Mother of Pearl dial.

Just me,

Best,

Chris

you have to get the one you like the most. look at them both and buy the watch you feel is most personal to you. everyone here has an opinion but ultimately it's going to be your watch on your wrist. enjoy whichever one you go with. they are both beautiful in their own way.

Depends on the wait. If it will be short get the SS. If long well we can all only guess that another proice increase is coming and inevitable. You might end up spending over 10 grand for a SS and then even more on a TT if the SS never comes.

Lists are just that. Lists. ADs may or may not call. I don't trust these so called lists. Some ADs sell to friends, family or high rollers thier hard to get Rolex while telling you that you are "on the list."

It really gets down to which watch you want more.

I've had two TT Daytonas since I bought my SS Daytona; one with a white dial; the other with a steel dial. Whenever I had them, I wore them more than the SS Daytona. They just felt better on my arm. I sold them each time to "move up" to more expensive watches. I kept the SS Daytona because I like it, because it holds value better, and because it is iconic (which is why it holds its value).

If you can afford it, you could get the TT Daytona and wait for the SS Daytona. Then, when the SS Daytona arrives, you can either have both, or you can buy the SS Daytona and then decide which watch to keep and which to sell.

I would go with the SS. But, you can't go wrong with either decision.

SS is in for now. Then TT will be in. Then SS will have limited production. Then TT will be in demand and hard to find. Please! Just buy what you like. Once upon a time Rolex could not give a Daytona away. Go figure.

I would wait for the S/S.
If thats what you really want, then you may regret in the future not waiting.
The TT is so much easier to get.

I think you should get which ever one really smile back at you. The Daytona I got was the SS with white face and I've never regretted it. I love that watch. TT in the Daytona didn't appeal to me. Don't buy because of the price. Buy because that's the one you want. Good luck on your decision.
