Nice!!! At least I can see 'em side by side to compare. But I think the winner (in my heart) still Bluesy.

The font on the numbers does seem narrow, but I'm sure the light plays tricks...

georgemera, that is a perfect collection! I have Bluesy and the TT DJ but I would love the other two as well. I'm particularly becoming fond of the white faced Explorer after spending some time on this forum!

Great collection, George!

Norm- I too, am planning on buying a white Explorer II in the future. They are a solid looking watch, indeed!

Georgemera, that is an excellent collection!! It is very versatile! I think there is one perfect watch that will really round out that collection well. It is, a white dial Explorer II! It wouldn't hurt to add one white dial watch to any collection.

I'm with Jerome...Explorer II Polar is a good choose. Or maybe Daytona white dial?

Here's a couple more shots..on macro. Let me know. I wouldn't put it past that AD in NY to stick a different bezel in..... I supposedly bought it NEW in 1996.................and it has not been in for any service yet...

Interested in any comments on the bezel.............

x2

The pictures of the most recent blue Sub on this thread has an aftermarket bezel on it. It does not really look like the font that Rolex uses on their bezels at all. The font in the genuine insert looks a little more stiff, meaning the numbers are not as curved. I am sure that if you send the watch in, they can replace the bezel for you Steve. Try the independent RSC located in San Francisco.

The bezel on the Blue Sub in your avatar actually has the genuine bezel insert. Compare it to the pictures that you had just posted, you can see a difference in the font.

Jerome.......Thanks for the advice! I called them and they said the bezel change can't be done in house..and has to go to Beverly Hills.....is this correct...or just info given on the phone. In other words...is a personal visit better...and can they do it there?

Ok.......is the bezel aftermarket....or just the insert?? Reason I ask is a bezel change has to go to Beverly Hills....I think the RSC at Shreve can do the insert.

Thanks for all your advice!

The bezel insert is aftermarket

Changing the bezel insert is not a very difficult thing to do and any AD can take care of it it's that simple

Thanks frostie!!

I started calling the AD this morning..and inadvertantly asked them to replace the aftermarket BEZEL...they said the main RSC had to do that. If it's just the insert....that makes it easier..and in the long run..cheaper.

Thanks again!

That was my dream pair, but due to cost constraints, I compromised slightly and have these, which I love!
