Gold vs Silver (what looks best on you? And how to know?)

Some people should not wear gold watches, and some should not wear silver. It all has to do with your skin tone, eye color, hair color etc.

Personally I'm not sure what I should have. I have a silver watch right now and it looks great on me. But maybe a gold watch would look even better?

Do you take into consideration your own colors before deciding on a gold or a silver watch?

I'm White, brown/green eyes with ash brown hair. Look good in orange, yellow, brown etc...but also in purple and blue.

Colours maybe but gold/silver - I seriously doubt your colouring makes much difference to anything but your own subjective perception.
I hear people say "couldn't pull off a gold watch" and I think it's very subjective.
It's not like a "98 lb weakling wearing a Gym singlet" where obviously if you haven't got it you shouldn't flaunt it.

Looks better...purely subjective. It's all about what you think and what you like.

I've heard people say rose gold either looks good or not on skin tones but silver and yellow gold? Pretty classic and goes on anyone I believe. I will say I think yellow gold really pops nicely on darker skin tones, but not sure that means much and/or wasn't obvious.

Stainless Steel suits my personality better than Yellow or Rose Gold, so that's what I wear. I would make an exception for the new Yachtmaster through.

I am more of a Summer Winter, that means someone with my complexion looks much better in yellow gold that someone gives to me rather than purchasing it myself...
