2 watch comments in 1 day

So far I've been of the mindset that no one really notices your watch. HOWEVER... Today I was at the mall doing some shopping and two different people made a comment about my SubC.

First, I was in a jewerly store looking at some earrings for my wife and the sales person said "nice Rolex". He said he worked at the Rolex store in NYC for about a year... then he tried to get me to buy a Tag. He also said that the store would have tons of attempted robberies. Not sure if this is true or not but thats what he stated.

Second, I ran into an old high school buddy. We stood around and played catch up for awhile then he said "Is that Rollie?". I just laughed and said yes.

I honestly believe it's rare people actually notice, much less make a comment, about your watch. Anyways it felt kinda cool I must say.

You actually think it means anything that a salesman in a jewelry store noticed your watch, and tried to sell you another one? It's his job to notice if you're wearing a watch.

I think it means he was doing his job. I've been to other jewelry stores and the sales person said nothing. I found it interesting he worked at Rolex for a year and a decent conversation took place about safety when working at Rolex.

Twice in one day is certainly unusual. I'd be surprised at twice in one month

I was at the Deschutes Brewing pop up bar on second and south at the Philly Beer Week event last Saturday.

20 something young lady working the ID check goes to put the beer bracelet on my wrist and says, "Nice watch, Rolex right?"

Needles to say I was a tad surprised.

Jewelry store sales people, friends and car sales people are the first to notice and most likely to comment in my experience.

Funny thing is... I didn't purchase a Rolex for people to notice, but I sure like it when someone does! Haha
