Theres an old rolex day date ad that says If you were speaking here (UN) you'd wear a rolex.

Has anyone ever been to the United Nations or any major political organization and saw someone wearing a day date?

I used to work for a branch that frequented the United Nations especially during the United Nations General Assembly. Throughout the years of being there I have spotted one Day Date on an international speaker. Theres a lot of Sub's or Sub like's in the crowd.

Its called marketing and every day thousands of people in all walks of life wear DayDates plus the countless millions of other Rolex watches..

Rolex prices have grown way faster than inflation. $250 in 1970 is only about $1500 in today's economy. So yeah, a time machine would be a huge benefit. If you could buy a brand new 114060 for $1500, you'd do it.

Though I can imagine that more work goes into the manufacturing of a modern Rolex than did in the 1970's. Maybe not 5 times as much lol
