Jaeger-LeCoultre --> What do you like about Jaeger-LeCoultre?
I've been reading about the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand and I must say that it seems to have flown under the radar for me and I assume many other folks for their Quality Hand Built Watches, as well as their 1000 hours of Testing.
From JLC WEbsite: The 1000 Hours Control Before being admitted to the outside world, Jaeger-LeCoultre watches have to pass the 1000 Hours Control. This series of extremely rigorous tests is much stricter than the standards imposed by the Bureaux du Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, the COSC, which checks the movements without their cases and without complications. The Manufacture tests and certifies finished watches, reproducing the conditions of real life wear. For 1000 hours - nearly 6 weeks - all the watches have to undergo a series of tough trials. The 1000 Hours Control has established a new standard of watch quality. The buyer of a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch can thus rest assured that he owns a very high quality product of over a century old tradition and a long and meticulous process, in which no detail has been overlooked, and tested to the most exacting standards. I really like the Master Control and many of it variations and JLC because of it's understated Quality, and Handmade pieces... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nGdS2jXHwQ

I've been a long time JLC fan. It's a brand often referred to as "the watchmaker's watchmaker".

I love JLC watches. I had a Reverso for awhile and it was very accurate, reliable, and well finished.
I am planning on getting a JLC MUT Moon in RG eventually - hopefully within the next 18-24 months.

I love the series from Deep sea.
Tribute to deep sea or deep sea chronograph. But do you feel it somehow lighter than Rolex minus the bracelet |

Extremely high quality, unfortuantely the designs don't really sing to me. Duometre would be my favorite.

I love JLC. Great history steeped in innovation and an amazing value. I have a JLC Perpetual Calendar and it gets plenty of wrist time.

Agreed. Their steel master series is a great value. I also particularly like their deep sea series. Tastefully done vintage homages. How do you like your Perpetual? I've been eyeing that one for a while.

They certainly aren't as popular as Rolex, but you see them in most every decent watch shop. I think they are quite popular.
My Dad got one for himself in the early 1970s, a thin gold 2 hand automatic,I have that one, and picked up a steel Reverso a little while ago, Tribute to 1931. JLC makes a great, a true manufacturer, loads of models and designs. |

Love it. I found a minty, older model in steel for a great price. The 37mm size works for my smallish 6.5" wrist and it was quite the bargain. I wear it quite often!

Beautiful. I like the moon phase on the bottom of yours better than the MUT version. Also the dial is more interesting though still clean. Great pick up!

I'm not a fan of all of their models but the MUT Moon 39 and the Reverso are definitely on my list!

I was looking for a watch with a multi time zone complication, but wanted to expand my search beyond the Rolex GMT. A few years ago, I inherited an Atmos clock from my uncle, but I was unfamiliar with JLC watches. As I did my research, however, I kept reading more and more good things about JLC, written by respected reviewers. Then I came across the Master Compressor Geographic and really liked it. Next, I saw that DavidSW had one for sale (how serendipitous), and I couldn't resist. I'm very happy with the watch itself and the fact that it flies completely under the radar. My only quibble is that the date numbers are a little small for my tired eyes.

JLC makes nice watches. I particularly like the Doumetre line. But still haven't pull the trigger though as there are other watches I want before this.

Gotta agree. Might be the best "deal" in the luxury watch arena.

JLC make some fantastic watches.
This is my favourite - kind of a RM, AP, JLC hybrid of all 3 brands. It's got real wrist presence and is a beast at 47mm Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
