Bought back my IWC 3904

Sold it as part of buying my Patek 5070r and immediately had seller's remorse. I missed having a dress casual piece for when the 5070r and ALS 1815 Chrono were too fancy and my 5167r was too casual. So I bought it back. The IWC has a great face and a hefty bottom (which I value in other circumstances as well) and sits nicely on my big wrist. Glad to have it back.

Congrats on the re-buy. I couldn't get on with mine so I let it go too. The curved crystal thing... But it's got a beautiful face. Went with the new yacht club instead. I didn't find it any more casual than the 1815 chrono though.

You've got a stunning chrono collection - enjoy.

Thanks!

The 1815 chrono has a smaller dial (39 vs 42mm) and is thinner (10mm vs 14mm). Also I keep it on a black matte alligator strap (though I have others). Makes it seem dressier than the 3904, which is a big chunk by comparison. In fact, the size is part of the 3904's charm. 1815 chrono is a great "under the radar" work watch with a suit because other than a WIS no one knows it is anything special. 3904 works with everything from a sports coat down to shorts. 5070r comes out of the vault for special occasions.
