Guys, I was wondering what you all thought of the following -- since the Pepsi model is so difficult to come by, if you were able to get a new original Pepsi bezel from the factory somehow, would it be fine to put that bezel on a brand new D serial GMT II that came with an all black bezel?

Is it bad to switch the bezel back and forth between 2 colors depending on the season, etc.?

I would like to have an opportunity to swap bezels, it would be great...I don't believe Rolex agrees.

What do you mean? Is it not allowed by Rolex? If I take it into service after switching, will they do anything about it?

I believe Rolex returns it with the color that was original to the watch.

Do what you like its your watch.

Don't worry about Rolex as the color of the bezel is only the insert and not the dial you'll have no problems with changing it.

my brand new gmt II, which i bought last week, came with the coke bezel...

hopefully in the next couple of days i should have my hands on a black, and a pepsi bezel insert...

although the coke is my fave colour...its just in case in some years time i come to sell...it would be easier with all 3 inserts

No probs at all, however I would get done at the RSC, as when I had mine done they actually registered the change against the serial number of my watch. i went from Coke to all black. Cost £26

I'm with Jeff.

Get all three and have a local watchmaker, our yourself if your so inclined, swap them when you want. I have 2 and hoping to get a third while in London.

One IMPORTANT question:

What do you think will happen if we want to replace these aluminium bezels in, say, 20 or 30 years (hope we are all well by that time )?

Will Rolex still have or produce small numbers for these watches?

Not so in the UK.

My 16710 GMT II had a Coke bezel when I purchased it in 1996 and in 2005 I changed the bezel to a Pepsi(still got the Coke one in the box

).It was sent for service at the end of 2006 and came back with no notes or faults and the Pepsi bezel still in place.As long as its an original part I dont think that they are that bothered about it.

i have a NIB pepsi Bez gmt mater 2 on ebay at this moment under seller id rfm888.
not so sure i want to let this one go. I have a few vintage pepsi gmt's and this brand spankin new one.
Do i put in away for a rainy day or what????
