Not bad, the mileage will get better in time especially if you charge it every night. We're pushing 112 mpg average on our Volt. We've been using it for 2 years though.

Look into the EV discounts from SDGE, we got put onto a time tiered rate plan and we're probably saving $200 a month now off our bill. We were always in the tier 4 range though, if you're in the tier 1 or 2 it won't save you any money.

Even at $1.50/litre I am more than happy to drive a conventional vehicle.
I don't like anything about hybrids and the price of petrol would have to triple or quadruple before it would bother me.
