Sea Dweller Case holes
Hi Everyone
Can anyone tell me what year the case holes (spring bar holes) ceased on the SD? I assume it will be the 16600? I've rummaged through the search box & can't find a year. Many thanks in advance

I believe it was the end of the Y series which would be early to mid 2003.

This feature of my A series never bothered me until I saw the newer model. I'm thankful I don't see it looking at the face. It is the first thing I look for when spotting a SD.

In the WatchTime comparison of the SD and the IWC Aquatimer printed in Oct 2005 they note this recent improvement of the case. Of course, it could have been years since they had last reviewed it so it could have been in place for a few years.

Well, as stated the non lug holes cases started appearing on MOST cases late 2002, early 2003. Some first got the non lug holes cases later. Whether those models would include the GMT, beats me.
