Fellow WG Sub owners/admirers. I apologise for doubting you guys!!! (long read)

I did see it as a beautiful watch since always, especially since I have a thing for the blue, but I never thought of it as a watch I would want to buy for some reason.
For starters, it sometimes looked too blue; Also couldn't justify the money.

I came on here as a lurker, looking to see what people thought of the BLNR, and purchased it soon after.
I never thought I would spend more than that amount of money in my dreams, on a watch. But here we are today, months later, and a 5711 purchase later, looking for another watch.
Crazy how I went from trying so hard to justify the BLNR, to now looking for a third watch. We have all been there I guess.

The weight on this watch, with the stealth factor, and the blue color together with the beautiful white gold, are probably the best combination in a watch EVER!!

It was funny that initially the AD told me he doesn't understand why Rolex makes WG, and he practically dissed the watch, and how people would obviously prefer a YG watch if they were to pay that much money, otherwise just go SS.
Once I told him I would like to try it, he changed his mind and told me how stunning it is. =/

I immediately thought that I should really flip the 5711.. That is how stunning the watch is in the flesh.
It also fits my life style much better as a causal dresser.
Once I calmed down, I reminded myself how much I love the 5711, and how much harder it is/was for me to find in brand new, and that I have a lot of time to save up for the Smurf.

Being only 25, I have plenty of time to add the piece, and having just bought my Patek, it is very unlikely I will be adding the smurf anytime soon.

This is however my next watch. I will be back my friends!!!!! Wait for me, I will join the club!!

The Smurf is killer, for sure - it also really looks handsome on you.

Thanks man! I thought the TT bluesy was a handsome watch; This one is just a different level.
I tend to stay away from YG or RG at this point in my life.
Maybe it is because of my age, or maybe I like a stealthier watch, but I can't pull it off in my head.
This is perfect though.

It's a great addition to any collection. It's also my grail watch. When the opportunity presents itself, go for it.

What does that thing cost? It looks great but outta my range... which is to say I couldn't justify it to the wife if she found out it was over $20K, which I'm certain it is. To be honest though justifying ANOTHER watch to her regardless of price is a likely impossibility.

Can actually be found for around $25K Pre owned.
Honestly, I had to really convince myself to buy my first watch, the BLNR. At 8K it felt way too much and I couldn't believe I did it.
Here I am today, my second one cost me 24K, and I am looking at the third.

Stay on this forum, and this will happen to you; And it WILL happen quick!

Looks amazing on you as well, thank you!
I absolutely agree.
I am extremely happy at this time with my current duo, and the Rolex serves as my go-to sports watch for now, but I am saving, and I will be adding the Smurf in the future for sure.
What a watch, and I know you've had yours for a while, but congrats on such beautiful time pieces.

Well believe in the best from your wife. You can find this stupefying work of a watch for preowned on forums, internet dealers, or eBay auctions for as low as 24k. Best regards
