I have never had a Glidelock but everyone raves about them. I have had many watches with the easy link and it has done the job for me. The half link really comes in handy. Although the glidelock may adjust with more precision, I'd guess that the easy link may be easier to adjust on the fly!

The glidelock on my DSSD was incredible. That being said I am with a few others, once it is fitted I don't really mess with it a lot.

The glide lock is infinitely more adjustable, however, the easy link can be accomplished more quickly and easily on the fly. So there you go, they both have their pluses and minuses...just like the watches themselves.

And here's a plug for the Pelagos clasp...does a very nice job as well.

IMHO, this is not the correct way to decide which watch to buy. Both clasps are fantastic.....now choose your piece!

Agreed
Maybe a handful of times in an entire year you may need + or - adjustment.
Don't let the clasp be your deciding factor

the problem is I cant actually decide which one I want as my first rolex, I do travel so the GMT would be nice, but the Submariner is a classic....

Yes, I believe you can do that, Brian. I remember a thread about it here.

Glidelock. Probably the best upgrade that Rolex has ever created. Easylink was pretty amazing until Glidelock came along.
