Question re Pre-Owned SS Daytona (White Dial)

I have been thinking more and more about getting a SS Daytona (White Dial). An AD I've worked with let me know that he has a pre-owned SS Daytona (less than 3 months), with box, papers and stickers, available for about $9200.

That seems like a good deal to me, but was hoping to get others' views. Thanks in advance.

What year or Serial #, engraved rehaut? Been many subtle changes past few years including White Dial Rings
more Chrome than Grey from 2012 on.. new blue lume from green etc etc

I understand it was purchased new from an AD, ordered from Rolex, this year. But I will confirm.

Well if its a 2014-2015 Random Serial at $9200 its a steal in excellent condition.
If after that depending on year modern 116520 the older they
are the less you should have to pay. If its is 2014-2015 Random
at $9200 & you decide to pass please Private Message me because
I would be interested. Ill also include a $300 finders fee for you.

Well if the watch is 3 months old or bought this year it could be a random serial or even a G single letter serial as both are still in production today.The random serials started the latter part of 2010 then a little later the single G six numbers serials started to show up around the world.

If it has the blue lume, is that enough to be comfortable that it is, in fact, the most recent production run with all of the subtle updates? What else (if anything) should I be looking for? The AD is going to email me the serial number today. Thanks again for the help.

For that price you should be in great shape. Even if it's a G serial. If it's a random even better. Don't spend too much time debating or else someone else will snatch it up. Go buy it!!

I just received the serial number (which begins with 8P0) and a picture (which shows that the watch is the "single tick" dial). How does that affect the thinking?

Ask if it comes with 5yr ROLEX warranty if it's less than 3 months old.

It comes with the 5-year warranty. The former owner traded it in to the AD for a credit against a much more expensive watch. It's an AD my friends and colleagues have worked with before. The prior owner reportedly owned it for 2 months before packaging it with another watch for credit against the much more expensive watch.

If the watch still has green lume, does that mean it's older? And does that suggest it's no longer a good price.

Please explain why a random is better a G single letter could be newer produced than a random or visa verso.And soon there will be millions upon millions of random serials while G is the last of the single letter serial and will be quite a short run even for Rolex serial wise.And no matter the lume colour as not all chromlight were issued to a 100% exact time frame year.

I just received pics of all the receipts/warranty cards/etc. and the watch. Here's where it stands:

- It was purchased in January 2015 from an authorized dealer. (I've confirmed its an AD).
- It has green lume (and not blue lume)
- It is a single tick, white dial.
- It is a random serial

With all that said, what do folks think? I really appreciate the input

Certainly it comes down to the date. I would expect a 2014 random to be priced slightly more than a 2010 G. That's all.

Green lume, blue lume at 9200 it's a steal. If its from an AD and was sold 3 months ago it should be worth 10500-11000 all day.

Is it possible to have a 116520 with green lume and a random serial?
I always thought that those should have the blue lume.
