Noticed something weird with my Sub

Looked at my watch today and noticed an indent at the center of the dial.

I highlighted the indent in question

The indent around the cutout for the hands is normal :)

I knew what this was before I even clicked the thread... Maybe I am spending too much time around here!

As stated, perfectly normal, most have the dimple....

I don't need a loupe to see it. Funny how you see something once it can't be unseen. It's the first thing I notice now when I look at my watch. The indent seems to catch the light quite easily.

I call it the dimple dial. Although it is typical, not all Rolex dials have it.

Personally I would prefer the dial to be flat But no one is listening:)

I suspect it is just a effect of the machine that punches the hole in the dial for the hands.
A while back I asked about it as well, One fellow offered that it provided extra structural strength to the dial ... I highly doubt any benefit to that as the second hand is as delicate as can be yet remains strong and protected under the crystal.

Totally normal. But this is why I prefer matte dials. Or white. Just my thing.
