Tudor BB and Pelagos Question

i am in the process of getting a BLACK BAY or Pelagos, and a blue bezel and or dial, seems a nice alternative to my SUB ND.

Would someone in the group be able to comment on the blue version of the BB vs. the Pelagos? are they the same? hard to tell on screen, and have not seen them together. if anyone has pics that would be appreciated as well.

thanks.

No, they are not the same. The New Pelagos have Tudor's new in house movement and the Black Bay has an ETA movement (The older gen Pelagos does have the same ETA movement, I think). Also one is Titanium and the other is steel.

If the question is if the blue is the same shade then, no, they are not. The black bay is navy as opposed to a brighter blue on the Pelagos. They old 2 line Pelagos and the current BB both have an ETA movement and the blue Pelagos has Tudor's new in house movement. The BB is steel and the Pelagos is titanium. The BB has no date and the Pelagos does. Both awesome watches and cannot go wrong with either one.

The new in house movement on the blue Pelagos wins between the BB vs Pelagos. My blue Pelagos is the most accurate mechanical watch I have ever owned. Mine is currently 3 seconds slow after 20 days, with several days on a winder.

I know there are many on the forum that don't care for titanium, but I find it to have a nice color and weight.

Besides, the new Pelagos has its model name printed on the dial, which represents a new era in Tudor's history.

A new era in Tudor history? Plenty of Tudor models have the name on the dial, and always have had.

I am stuck, i aesthetically like the BB navy color but, the Pelagos watch. the french navy blue of the Pelagos is just a little too blue. ill probably just go with the Pelagos black.

Pelagos is mechanically more sound. However, the BB has a greater appeal. Both look great though. Good luck!
