gmt ii c vs Dj ii for bling factor

Interested in purchasing a second Rolex as Ihave a sub and while I love it's under statedness I think for a second piece I would like something with a more obvious dare I say it bling factor, a little cringe worthy perhaps I know. Anyway would be interested to hear people's opinion and perhaps some pics etc.also the Dj ii I'm considering in the comparison is the fluted bezel. Thanks in advance

Always ask yourself this: What would a gentleman choose?

If you want, "Hey I am wearing a Rolex," go for DSSD.

Datejusts are nice and can still be quite reserved. It depends what you're looking for. I went for these:

If you staying in the SS range i would go for the DJ II fluted bezel (Blue Stick Dial or Blue Roman Dial)

In my opinion the blingest SS watch by Rolex.

If you really want to make a splash get a Yellow Gold DD 18238 you can get that for around 10k. (Only problem is its a 36mm)

Lest we forget, Devine, that a critical part of bling is how you carry yourself. Having said that, anything 40mm or above with gold would be my choice (e.g., a DDII, DJII, or Sky-Dweller). Really it depends.

With a sub, I'd go DJ2 blue dial or TT slate.

I'm guessing OP meant sparkly dressier.
That will be DJ WG fluted bezel w Roman dial or TT.
I think 36mm works just fine, but size is a personal preference.

I would say DJ 2 TT in slate or TT in gold and black with romans if you are more traditional.

Anything with fluted bezel and diamonds is flashy to me.

I was in that same canp too. Had a GMT II and wanted something that said bling. I went with the TT Datejust II. You will not be disappointed.

DJ II is a good pair for a Submariner, imo.

For SS & TT models- I'd say DJ2- fluted bezel is more shiny than the ceramic bezel of the BLNR. That and more dial color choices with the DJ2 as well.

Obviously a full YG GMT2C with green dial is the winner, but don't know your budget.

If you are open to full gold, my recommendation is to flip the sub, save up some more, and get a 116718 with the green dial used.

I'm assuming you are only considering SS models. As for bling factor go for a DJII with fluted bezel or a GMT BLNR. Both have polished center links. The fluted bezel on the DJII and the blue/black on the GMT are the added bling touches for each. Tough choice but I would lean towards the DJII. If you are considering TT I would still lean towards the DJ.
