I personally don't understand the stigma many folks attach to YG being "Too fill in your favorite adjective". People wear all manner of gold toned watches many of which are high end and many of which are simply plated. What's the difference in the eyes of a non-WIS ?
Now, if it's not your preference or style or you wouldn't feel comfortable in a specific setting, no harm done, just pick what pleases you.
Well said sir!!!!!

I miss the heck out of mine! I thought it was beautiful and still do, traded it in a moment of practicality. I never thought it was that flashy, just the right mix of gold, steel and a bit of color.

I shared your concerns (too flashy) but I finally got one just a week ago. No regrets, it is noticeable but a very beautiful and regal looking watch. Personally I wouldn't wear it with a t shirt down at the pub but with a suit, sweater, or nice button down I am very comfortable wearing this. Good luck with your decision!

Nope, one of Rolex's best looking dials IMHO!
