Who else thinks that Hulk looks a little cheap?

Some say the dial is gorgeous. It changes drastically from black to bright green when the light hits it at a certain angle.

I like it in a light where the dial is almost completely black with just a hint of green. But at direct sunlight it just doesn't work for me. It reminds me of those $5 plastic watches sold at gas stations.

What do you think?

If the look of the black dial tickles your pickle, you should look into the Kermit. I personally love the hulk. Only 3 Rolex models (Sub, solid gold gmt, 36mm DD) offer a green dial where black dials are in almost every model.

I love mine. Just sometimes wish the bezel was a bit darker, that's all.

I am not a fan of the watch, but it does not appear cheap to me. I do think that I would like it better with a black dial.

I'm not a fan of the colour green when it comes to clothes & accessories and I think that I might own one piece of green clothing, a t-shirt, that I can think of. Do I think the LV Sub looks cheap?....No.

What do you think?
This particular color is not for everybody--the LN dials are more universal in appeal and will remain a timeless classic for such a reason imo

Icon10 Thanks for sharing that educated synopsis.

You know it's fortuitous that you say that! I was just thinking the same thing...

I saw this one here at the gas station and it was a bit more than the $5 but not much more, and I can't help but notice the striking similarities...

Ironically, I think the LV looks more expensive than the LN (which it is). The LN models are the classics. The LV is a cool alternative that is rapidly becoming one of my favorite Rolex sport watches. I'm really 50/50 on if I will get a Datejust II next or this.

What do you think?
That's not sunlight, this looks like a flash to me, which is about as opposite as "natural" light can get. I work in photography and production professionally and can tell you that's about the least flattering light you'll ever get, whether it's a watch, an adult, puppy or a baby.

You may think you're a pretty good looking person, hell, you could be hally berry meets heidi klum meets Ryan gosling meets Brad Pitt blah blah blah. Have someone stand a couple feet away from you with an iPhone, scratch that, and iPhone 6s Plus, take a photo of your face with the flash on, and go ahead and compare that to every time you've ever looked in the mirror in a bathroom, seen your reflection in a window, seen a photo of yourself sitting in a park on an overcast day or in the golden light before the sunsets. You won't be happy with the photo of yourself when the harsh flash is blasted in your face, and also killing the light everywhere else around you.

Anyway, here's a nice mix for you :) (all photos below are available natural light with an iPhone - not the 6s plus though)

I think it looks cheap too.

It does look a bit like a gimmicky watch actually.

So much so, that I couldn't stop thinking about it for the past few months. Even tho I'd flipped it in the past, I just couldn't get it off my brain.

Until this past Friday anyway, when I raced to get to the mall before all the hubbub. Now it's off my brain and on my wrist.

It's it's looking cheap as all hell. Stupid cheap looking watch.
