Thanks everyone. I made it and am still tweaking it. I am thinking of making thinner keepers. First time working with leather this old and it is much different than new leather even after conditioning.

Hey Wayne, I meant no harm, but you being the maker of this strap is impressive. If you are able to thin out those keepers, I will be one of your first buyers!

No offense taken. I am open to criticism. Dealing with the old leather is different and I'm still learning. I have some leather left over so I will remake keepers as I'm not happy with them either. Even the stitching is a little off so I might restitch. This leather was quite dried out so if I do it again I will pick the pouch more carefully but I liked the fact that this leather is 98 years old so decided to give it a try. I make straps for myself as a hobby and have no plans to sell straps but thanks for the compliment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
