You should try it on. I own the black bay red and pelagos, as well as a few rolexes. I dont have a no date sub but i have a GMTiic which is similar.
Will it scratch your itch? Well i would say it depends how high quality your usual tastes are. I love them both equally, however the rolex is and does feel like a watch thats double the price. Dont get me wrong though, the black bays are fantastic, not many other watch in that price range has that build quality. Rose gold hands and hour markers on the tudor while the rolex is known for its white gold ones. Very modified ETA vs in house movement. The list goes on, right down to the steel used. I would say try them on, if youre absolutely enamored by the no date then the black bay probably wont do it for you.

I purchased my black bay black for $2,800 no tax. If you know the right dealer you should aim to purchase it around that price. This was the deal breaker for me, the price point is too good to pass up. And with the way demand is for this watch and the pelagos making noise in the market it only seems like these prices will rise. As any investment goes, buy low, sell high. Who knows, maybe in a few years I can flip it for a higher price but I'm sure I'll at least come out even while enjoying the watch on my wrist instead of locked away in a safe.

BB vs SubND
Totally agree with Adam and Mr.D. I actually prefer my BB to my SubC. If you can get over the phsychological ringing, "but it's not a Rolex", you'll fall in love with it. Owning several Rolex's does help ease the internal monologue though ;) the BB feels great and looks great on. And as mentioned earlier, it's an inexpensive tool watch. Wear it, let it take a beating.
Looks killer leather as well

Without a doubt, the Sub would be my choice.

Thanks, HogwldFLTR. I feel I was lucky to get the discount. A case of being at the right place at the right time. It was a big event and I think they wanted to move some watches. I was there earlier in the week and they would not budge off the list price.

I have both the BBN and a 14060M, but since buying the sub that's been on my wrist since!

To make a decision, take the marketing hype and "newness" out of the equation...the picture might become clearer. There's a reason they harked back to the snowflake design with Tudor. My wife's friend wears a beat up Tudor Sub, truly amazing as she absolutely doesn't care, other that it tells time. The Rolex Subs always represent and I don't think one can scratch the others itch. And if your open to pre owned the world is yours and its big. Have fun in the diver department.and don't forget the SDc...

Love the BBB and tried it on last week. Took some watches for comparison with we, but what should I say ? The BBB´s case proportions are too unprofitable to my eyes. (especially on a strap between the lugs) The case is too thick for just 200m. Even the normal SD looks better proportioned. And the SDDS is rated 20 times more.
just my 0,02 $ I would choose a SubnD over the BBB |

The answer is in the question:
"Tudor Black Bay Black or Sub ND ?" |
