AP 15300 blue dial - authentic or not ?

Hello everyone.

So I've been on the lookout for a 15300 with the blue dial for a while now and I've done as much research as I could. Finally i've located one that seems to be in a fair condition, never had service and for a fair price. Only issue is, that it comes without papers. And since we are meeting in germany (I have to fly there) I would like to make sure before i go there, that the watch seems to be authentic.

So hope you can help me see if everything seems to be in fine order, Also if there is anything in particular I should know before the purchase.

Thank you very much guys !

Seems to be in a "good" condition and I would send it to an AP authorized service center as soon as I get if I were you.

Can't see what letter series is it though?!

Sending it in for service will be another 1500e and a few months away, so that's nothing I would do unless it absolutely needs a service, and that service cost is deducted from the price.

It may not have been serviced, but it has been polished by someone who didn't know what they where doing.

What serial is it?

The Blue hue of the dial looks a bit suspicious to be honest, it really looks like a strong vivid blue. Should be a bit more sedated. However, that might just be the lightning. I guess every seller would try and emphasize the blue dial as much as possible.

Exercise caution.
It seems too lowly priced for a watch that’s only 2 years old (it won’t need servicing yet) and the seller is from Turkey, so why are you meeting in Germany?
They haven’t listed as a private seller, but it doesn’t come across as a commercial seller.

Honestly, if you can live without the blue dial, I’d sooner go for the one from a Monaco seller – https://www.chrono24.co.uk/audemarsp...-id3853588.htm

If it must be blue, then negotiate on this one - https://www.chrono24.co.uk/audemarsp...-id3802291.htm

Those two would be a much safer bet in my mind, than the one you’ve set you sight on.

Oh, saw the ad now. Watch from Turkey, I-serial from what I can make out in the ad on Chrono24 no papers... Check. This is a fairly fresh watch. Seems polished, NO PAPERS?!

Meet in Germany?

Personally I would skip this deal. AP papers on a watch this fresh, most likely still under factory warranty would have been kept. My fear would be stolen watch.

Also from my own experience an AP at this price point and this young is almost dead on the market without the papers. (Two books)

Agree with Andreas ...

Also, if it is an I, I believe it is the incorrect box.

I'd stay the hell away.

Okay guys, thank you very much for your quick and detailed answers !

Yeah the salesman from Turkey but he was able to meet me in Germany for some reason. But I'll stay away and try to buy from a trusted seller instead !
I just want this watch so bad... :)

Buy the seller not the watch. Simple enough.

Also why are you flying to Germany to pick it up? Do you already have a trip planned there for other reasons... The time/cost factor if you are going soley for the watch doesn't make sense... And if it does make sense financially then ask yourself why... Whats up with the watch? I sold my 15300 with a black dial with no issue what so ever and for fair market price.

Germany is a border country to Denmark, so no biggie and cheap to fly there.
OP find another, they aren't too hard to find in the EU.

I think that type of bracelet does not belong to that model.

My thoughts EXACTLY.

As mentioned --- I thought they ended the 15300 in the H series...

I would pass.

It does look probably real, but would need better pics of the dial and the rotor to be sure. I'd pass.

Yeah the watch was way off, they fled when I asked to meet at the Audemars Dealer in Munich, so something must have been wrong.

Thanks for the linking the watches from David SW, but yes taxes would make the watches very expensive.

I have come down to these two watches, but I can't make up my mind, whether it would be worth paying the extra money for one they claim is unworn: https://www.chrono24.dk/audemarspigu...-id3759630.htm ( the price is non negotiable to them).
Or there is this version, where they promise it has been polished by AP and not by just anyone, and the price has been negotiated to a good price. But it doesn't look to be as "perfect" as other 15300 I've seen ? https://www.chrono24.dk/audemarspigu...-id3802291.htm

Thank you very much, and Happy New year !
It would be nice to start 2016 with an Audemars Piguet 15300 for myself <3

Looks identical to the one on my 15300. In fact the whole package looks identical compared to mine, which was AD sourced.

Gustav, maybe you need to visit Italy and see them both in real life, to know if the extra cost is worth being spent or not.
With a face-face deal, you might get somewhere on the price too.
That said, the saving to be had pays for the next service, so what's of more importance?

Yes I have been given it some thoughts, maybe go to Switzerland or Italy. On the other hand it's maybe better to wait for when the right watch comes, where I'm certain it's the one for me.
Don't understand why they stopped making the 15300, would be so much easier to buy from a boutique..

Happy New Year guys,

Cheers.

Defiantly, I love the dial of the new 15202, the darker blue really talks to me. But I'm still young and often wear t-shirts, so I think the 15300 fits me better. But when i finish university and start wearing a suit everyday I will sell my 15300 an get the 15202 !

Thanks for the picture, it is beautiful !
