A bunch of Rolex sightings today

I volunteered at the JDRF golf tournament today and really had a great time. I witnessed a nice selection of Rolies. 1 nice vintage GMT, 1 LV and a ton of Subs and Datejusts. It was a definitely a fun day of golf and watch looking. I already cant wait for next years event.

Wow...living in the big city, I see 20+ a day and twice that on the weekend. I guess it is different in the "boonies".

I wouldn't call Nashville the boonies. Although the only watches I ever see here is Rolex and Omega. But when I am in Dallas I always see a wide array from Panerai to Rolex. I have never been to San Fran. but I have been to San Diego.

I have never heard of Brentwood in TN. There are 2 in California. No offense by the boonie comment.

Nice, and yes it is great you enjoyed yourself and got to spot some watches

In downtown Toronto I see a few but truly have to say a lot less than expected.

No worries. I have lived in areas of TN that you would definitely consider the boonies. Brentwood is just on the southwest edge on Nashville. Its a very nice place to live.

Besides the LV, were the other Subs all in SS only, as well?

I saw one TT sub. The rest were SS subs. Most of the Rolexes were Datejusts. Lots of nice ones to view, but I did not see any newer versions with the new case. They were all oder. Still a fun day. A lot of the guys were wearing Timex or Casios though. I never wear my SMP for golf only because its too heavy and loose on my wrist. I always were either my Swatch or Timex ironman. Thats is why I was most surprised to see so many on the course.

I do this too, and my wife participates
In fact when I got home from the golf tournament, the first thing she asked is if I saw a lot of nice watches.
I might not be able to squeeze that Rolex out of her yet but she is still very supportive, considering I do heave around 20 watches.

The Food Channel is always good for spotting Rollies and other great watches, and you often get close-ups. They go by in a flash, but that makes it a fun challenge. Larry

Before my wife bought me the TT Blue Sub she could not care less about watches and did not really understand my passion for them. Now, she is spotting Rolex's and other nice watches. She even called me and said she noticed a nice Breitling on a guy at the airport and even asked him about it. She told him that her husband has a blue Sub and he said he would trade his Breitling for a TT Blue Sub in a minute. Made her feel good about her choice. She has the bug now...

Sounds like you had a great time along with the Rolex watching.

I had a great time helping with a great cause. The Rolex watching was just an added bonus
Not to mention getting to hang out at Vanderbilt Legends club.
