The 15400 is a sport watch that can be dressed up. The AP diver is more a sport watch and doesn't dress up as well as the 15400.

You can also go with an offshore. They are pretty versatile when put on a bracelet.

I lean towards the Diver when I think of being versatile - I think it's the right blend of dressy and sporty. And looks just as good in a suit and shorts ---

I totally agree with this. My AP diver always comes to mind when I think about my favorite. I immediately bought the new AP SS bracelet for my diver but I don't know that I'll ever put it in I love the rubber strap so much. It's so comfortable and I don't have to worry I'm going to scratch that beautiful SS bracelet. I'm rarely in a suit but I wouldn't be afraid to wear it. I might consider putting the SS bracelet on if I felt the need to dress it up a bit more.
