Thanks, and you're right. I initially planned to get a blue dialed DJ, but this vintage silver one just spoke to me. So instead, I got a nice root beer lined up... 😉

Thanks Ralph. The 1675 does get a lot of wrist time. As you can see, it's the only date watch with the correct date 😉.

Great collection, Rob

Maybe a blue or green dial in there to even things out a bit?

For me this photo shows the absolute beauty of older SS Rolex watches. That is a great collection. You have great taste and the Rootbeer would fit in very well with your next 6 pack which would show the beauty of TT's.

Not only do we share names, we also share a very similar taste! Minus the Pepsi and Daytona, we have the same collection!

I opted for the Speedmaster over the Daytona and the Pepsi slot has yet to be filled. I'd go for a rootbeer, but cannot find a good example around here.

Cool Rob! At the end of the day, my collection is pretty straight forward and simply shows my affinity for the 5 digit references in steel, with a couple of exceptions, the modern Daytona (even though it's 11 years old, and shares the same case size as the 5 digit model) and the vintage pepsi. I also own '68 Pre-Moon Speedmaster, one of my first pieces, but the Daytona was my personal grail.

Yeah, besides the incoming Rootbeer, I thought of maybe adding a blue 36 Oyster Perpetual 116000 since my wife comandeered my Explorer. 😉

Thanks Russell, on that note, I'd like to share some of favourite pics of this family.

Submariner 14060. 1999 'U' series. 2 liner, luminova, 'Swiss' only. Cal. 3000. My first Rolex, bought new in 1999.

Daytona 116520. 2004 'F' series. Cal. 4130,Rolex in-house, parachrom bleu hairspring. 72 hour power reserve. Skinny hands, SEL, 'hole clasp'. Personal grail.

GMT-MASTER 1675. 1978, 5xxxxxxx. Cal. 1575. I was always enamoured by the look of vintage watches, particularly the vintage 'pepsi'. This came with a 62510h jubilee and up until then, I wasn't a fan of the bracelet. Now it's my favorite configuration for this watch.

Explorer 14270. 2000 'P' series. Was another grail for me. Now belongs to my wife.

Datejust 16014. 1984 8xxxxxx. Cal. 3035. The plexi crystal gives the look of vintage, while the fast beat movement and quick set date offer modern advantages. Best of both worlds. Easily the dressiest of the bunch.

Explorer 2 16570. 2008 'M' series. Cal. 3186. Engraved rehaut. Most recent acquisition and newest of the bunch despite still being a 5 digit reference. Notable for having the latest movement in a previous generation model. Again, best of both worlds for me.

Thanks for looking!
