Hi all,

I bought a Deep Sea Dblue with bracelet 98210 with polished buckle in last December. I find that the bracelet is looser than the one on my black DS which has the same 98210 bracelet but a different sandblasted buckle. Does anyone experience this as well? Are the new bracelets with polished buckle looser than before? (For example the safety clasp swings easily when opened while the one my my black DS does not swing back and forth).

probably just a slight variance, but for the record the safety clasp on my deepsea does not swing freely. I have a sandblasted buckle. i wouldnt worry too much about it unless the clasp isnt locking down properly.

Do you mean it fits looser on the wrist with the same number of links removed? That would be odd.

It feels like one of the old style Rolex bracelet (the hollow ones). Everything just swings back and forth. Is it just me or do others also experience this? I know Rolex improved their bracelet from the loose ones to the tighter ones. My Dblue buckle just swings open loosely when I open it but the bracelets on the black DS, the GMT 116710 and other newer generation Rolex feel different. These bracelets offer you a tighter and more solid feeling. I went to RSC but they say it is all fine. I am thinking of asking for a change if it is an isolated case.

OK...I think I know what you're saying.

I've had several watches that didn't swing freely when opened. I believe it's just an issue with the hinge that connects the sandblasted (or polished) part with the adjoining part (sorry, I don't know the technical terms).

I think it's a QC issue more than a design issue. IMO.

Is there a way how I can increase the friction in the hinges so that the safety clasp and the buckle can open and close in a tighter manner?
