I hope this isn't inappropriate, but I read this week that scientists have discovered Brazilian wasps venom may help cure cancer, also drinking the oil from the marijuana plant.

Please have a read of these:

Richard,

Sorry to hear the news. My wife and older sister are survivors and the science has come a long way. When you first hear the news it hits like a thunderbolt and emotions tend to take over. Once tests are done, a team is assembled, and the path to recovery is decided the emotional part turns clinical which empowers all to move ahead to success.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Sorry to hear that Richard. Cancer survivor myself here of over 20 years. As others have said, we've come a long way on treating cancer so be strong and help her with the fight. IMO, A healthy mind and body really helps the immunity combat the disease along with whatever her treatment options will be. What kind of cancer are we dealing with?

So sorry to hear this terrible news. Be strong for your daughter and grand daughter. You will find strength to get through this. My wife is on year four of being a cancer survivor. She was 36 and our children were 1 1/2 yr and 3 1/2 yrs old. It rocked our world and I never knew how powerful I was until then. My wife and I will pray for your family, you will soldier on.

Hello. I've down this highway on both sides of the bed.
Read, research, obtain printed information from providers...Empower yourself with knowledge about her diagnosis, even though the shock and grief is currently overwhelming. If your health care team consists of a nurse navigator, please tell your daughter to utilize that nurse as much as possible.

If I may suggest: If she so wishes for you to be involved, wherever your daughter is being treated, have your daughter sign HIPPA medical information release forms so that you can better advocate for her if she needs it, particularly if you accompany her to appointments. I have personally found this to be immensely helpful because when patients are going through any treatments especially as time goes on, they may falter in being able to remember or be too fatigued to ask certain questions. Write down questions, keep notes - it does help.

As previously mentioned above posts, proven and new cancer treatments are available. Family strength will prevail. Stay strong and brave. Your daughter and your family will get through this together. My prayers are on the wings to your loved ones, all your family -- in the battle to regain health. DM

Richard, So sorry to hear of your daughter's diagnosis. I can't even begin to imagine the emotions your family must be experiencing.
As others have noted, treatment options are improving every day with incredible results.
I'll be praying for your entire family.

Richard, I am so sorry to hear this. Prayers have already been sent from my family to yours and we will continue to do so until Jessie is declared cancer free. She WILL beat this but right now I'm sure she needs her dad.
