Pop Music Classics .

In the same way as you wouldn't even consider wearing a fake Rolex, driving a Kit car which is designed to look like a genuine Bugatti, or buy a Faux-Leather Sofa. Can you think of any good reason you would ever want to listen to a definitive version, of a classic piece of Pop music, which has been covered by a lesser artist?

Take Unchained Melody, for example, originally sung by Al Hibbler, but beautifully recreated by the Righteous Brothers who bought a tear to many an eye with their ultimate version. Who could want more?

And then along came the men who were to music, what the Chuckle Brothers were to Comedy, Robson and Jerome, a pair of tossers Granny sh@fters of the worst kind ... The rest is history, with the added insult that the Song got to number one for the very first time.

And then Led Zep's Piece de Resistance, 'Stairway to Heaven' arguably one of the top ten Rock songs of all times.
An aural treat by all accounts, starting in a humble yet addictive style with a sweet Guitar background, culminating in a fearsome crescendo and that Solo which every new Guitar player yearns to recreate just for himself.

Cue the Wallaby molesting, Paint splashing, Bearded weirdo from HMP Australia, Rolf 'feking' Harris and his Didgeridoo, who systematically ars# raped Zeps killer piece for no good reason other than he could.

It's a fact that when Rolf Heard the real thing, he swore he would never again cover a piece of music without listening to it first. It's also a fact there is still a death warrant out on him in several Cities across the world, which lead to the curtailment of his 'Two little Boys' (Originally penned by Gary Glitter) and 'Jake the Peg' world tour.

Lets not even discuss Madonna's grossly overcooked 'American Pie' a song which was an Iconic masterpiece lasting eight odd minutes, and a treat for lyrics freaks who worked out the astonishing meaning of Don McLeans work. Madonnas version was quite simply Lift muzak sh!te.

As if this wasn't enough, we have the 'Byte thieves, strangely enough including the same Pie burning whore, using samples of Abba to make humble trash into viable Pop, and lately the Pussycat Dolls, who are nothing less than sugar coated prostitutes, guilty of stealing Electric Light Orchestra Violin riffs to the song written by a thousand chimps on a thousand typewriters.....

It's going on everywhere, and it's getting past a bloody joke, It's a feking TRAVESTY.

What about The Sex Pistols's rendition of 'God Save The Queen' then? A master piece?

I've got it too mate! Although the whole Sex Pistols thing was an invention by Malcolm McLaren (best piece of marketing of the 70's!) and 'real punk' clothing by Vivien Westwood, it was something new at the time. But I was a big fan of The Clash
