If you are interested in buying second hand, have a look at Dream-Watches.co.uk and Blowers Jewellery website.

I think that they have a fair range of SS Subs & SS SD's.

Good luck.

Is this true, I appreciate there is many variations of the same model, could anyone offer any sound advice?

Many thanks in advance :-)
My very 1rst one was given to me by my X,but my 2nd one I bought it from a TRF member and it was a pleasure doing business with him,so,try what they (TRF members)are selling and you will find some good deals... just my 2 cents!

For your first Rolex, I would buy new. After that, I would buy preowned as there will be other Rolexes you want to purchase.

Haze,

Hopefully the Mods are ok with this!

Dream-watches have 3 SS Subs.

14060 (2000) - all boxes/papers - £1,899
16610 (Jan 08) - as above - £2,799
16610 (New Unworn) - all papers - £3,090.

The Jan 08 looks worth checking out.
