Thanks

You will never see this in the catalogue.

Is that because it is fake? If so, how can you tell?

Yes, it's a platinum model which was launched in 1992 - extremely rare!
Was it passed down to you????

I looked at the platinum models, and the calendars were spelled out. . Can anyone tell me the model number or send me a link of another one?

A guy I know offered to sell it. I know nothing about these watches. I have a Submariner and a Tag Carrera, but have really just gotten my feet wet in this area. . It looked suspect to me, but wanted the take of some experts.

Was he asking more than $2.99?

1. Does the guy look like he has a $100,000 watch for sale?
2. Does the watch come with the luxury box and all the paperwork?
3. Is he asking a bargain $50,000 for the package?

All of this and also the fact that the watch looks like a real piece of utter garbage with a cheeky asking price of $250 perhaps?

That'd be the giveaway.

They could have at least made the sticks centered on the ticks. This and the fact the sticks look like an after thought and we're just glued in. I bet if you wear it enough the sticks will fall off just like the tag symbol always fell off the canal street tags back in the mid 90's.

And that about sums it up.
There is nothing about that watch which is correct, or remotely resembles a Patek Philippe
