Damn that looks nice.

Love the black too. It was a tough call, but ultimately this had the perfect level of trim for me.

you know....at the end of the day, I am happy with most anything.

as stated earlier, I tend to get bored easy. my mind wanders and I find something to keep myself occupied.

it was terrible for me in grade school, but has worked well with for my professional career.

part of me wishes I got the 350. but at the end of the day I am glad it did not work out and I am feeling super about how it all played out.

and since the stingray came out, I have loved the looks of it. I just never thought I could afford it. thankfully, things have gone well and I have gotten super lucky in a lot of ways.

and for sure, I feel incredibly lucky to have this beast in my garage.

that has certainly been the case for me with watches.

Cars....I am still in love with my Jeep SRT (going on 6 months) and I took immense joy in driving the 5.0. I have a sneaky suspicion, I am going to enjoy this all that much more.

Don't get me wrong, I understand exactly what you are saying. And agree with it 99% of the time. For better or worse, cars have always just got my blood flowing. Love em.

congratulations on a great new car

the amount of interaction of members like you, and others, on this great site regarding some ongoing decision-making-process makes checking/following TRF a lot of fun

Thanks man. Even in my everyday life interactions, I'm a complete open book.

And I share way too much information, bordering on bad judgement.

But I am glad you enjoy the thread. I've enjoyed it too. Very much so.

Holy crap Seth! That was fast, I am so happy for you, definetly made the right choice for that money. You bought the car the way I would have specd it, silver with the red calipers. Looks so exotic, and very supercar looking. I am a petrolhead, and yes the 350 is an incredible car, but the Vette is way more car, and more money for a reason. This car will push all the right buttons for you, it should satisfy you for some time, and the best part....every time you look at it, you know this toy was a result of hard work, it wasn't for free and wasn't gifted to you. I know this new toy will put a smile on your face when your day isn't going so well. Congrats on making the right move. Enjoy the cold starts in the mornings!

Congrats on the vette. I think it's a great car and gm hit a home run with it. It will compete with European cars costing twice as much.

I went to a Chevy dealer this past week to check out the new camaro and that's a great model change too.

They had three vettes there and one was a zo6. I love them but just couldn't get comfortable in them for my physique. The camaro is more for me as well as the Stang but I can sure appreciate the corvette. It's Americas sports car. Use it in good health my friend.

Interesting update:

I went today to get my refund processed for the tire & wheel package I had paid for on the GT I traded.

After explaining what I was there to do, the finance guy literally laughed and said "of course you didn't buy the GT350, no one is going to pay that much over".

Apparently even the guys internal to Ford think the situation is a black eye for the company.

And not surprisingly, the three were still sitting there on the showroom floor.

And btw Clark, I had not seen that picture prior to updating the thread.

Dayum dude. Looks so nice in black. Wow. And yes, loving every second of it. I wish it was nicer outside this weekend.

I saw that today.

I was thinking about it, just for the hell of it. But I'm pretty certain my monetary credentials won't match up.

They say the car will appreciate. And they are only making a few hundred. Maybe you can get a sponsor?

The new Ford gt is stunning to look at, it's full of technology and is incredible on a track....but there is no way I would pay anything over 200k for a six banger, it sounds awful to. Too bad they are going this way on this car. When I think ford, I think of 351 Cleveland , 5.0L, and great sounding V8. One of the best in the business. But on a car of this calibre, forget it.

Glad to see you made the right choice, was going to at least see if supplier pricing could sway you over if you hadn't decided yet ...

Looks like a suggestion to wait for the new ZL1 which will crush the 350 in all departments wouldn't have worked... you moved fast lol.
