No such thing as a time waster in the luxury market. Excellent customer service applies to all who enter, as today's tire kicker is tomorrow's sale.

I was kicking tires in the Hermes store at DOH while awaiting my flight last week and the salesman was engaging and kept offering up ideas. I left with a new wallet for my wife.

Not everyone buys something on every visit to a high end store. The staff needs to keep people returning to their store to have an opportunity to make the deal once the customer decides to buy. I'd fire a salesman who couldn't at least meet Walmart's standard for customer service.

The best response to bad service is to just quietly leave and go somewhere that has better service.

I've seen people get all hot and bothered in restaurants over bad service and create a scene.

When I'm seated in a restaurant, I look around and make a fair estimate as to how long I should wait for service.

If I'm not served in a given amount of time, I just leave and go elsewhere.
This !!!!

... Tourneau also sells $100 G-Shocks so, i wouldn't compare with Hermes boutique salesreps.

we all know, taking your business elsewhere is the best revenge - and, i think this is the first thread with Hermes and Walmart mentioned in the same post.

(this thread just won't die )

I absolutely love the Tourneau in Palm Beach on Worth.

Glorious snobbery!

Lots of dirty looks and condescending comments for those who they determine to be less than worthy...
