There's some great shots of the new ceramic Daytonas. I especially like this one:
I tried to recreate that shot wit my SS bezel black face Daytona. Different cameras, lighting, etc, so it's not perfect. I think I'll be keeping mine and not getting the new one. Cheers! |

Hard to believe a Vintage guy would buy this new model instead...or at all. The whole point of vintage is...well...Vintage.😁 Folks like the older look and feel. The brushed Vs polished, the contours...the "stories" the watch could tell, and all that. |

Having said that, I might add a white dial ceramic to my collection. |

Has anone realised that the black dial in the new ceramic black Daytona is NOT the same as the 116520?
The sub dials are actually a Matt grey and not shiny silver.

Which? The ceramic isn't my picture; I just linked to its http address. The stainless bezel one, I just took with my camera and played with it a little to get it kind of close to the ceramic one. If you want to know more details about the picture of the stainless one, please send me a message; I don't want to bore people with photography talk. :)

Love it. AD told me late summer which leaves me 3-4 months to work on the better half. It will be a challenge to keep the toilet seat down for 4 months, but it will be worth it.

As the new Datejust is now 41mm, is there any chance Rolex will release DAYTONA at 41mm too?

Not a fan of ceramic. Both stunning but I would go old school.

My biggest issue with the new one as I look at it more is that the bezel seems huge (overwhelms the dial). I really don't like that. I much prefer the narrower bezel on the 6263. Ken's pic again.
Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me? |
