I know what you are thinking "it's just the bracelet".

The bracelet definitely rattles which I am completely ok with. However, in the last couple of days I have noticed a new rattle sound. I am 95% sure that it is inside the watch and not the bracelet. This watch is from 1970 and I had a Restoration Overhaul completed last month. It has a 2 year warranty so I should just bring it back to them, right? Or is this normal? I am thinking it isn't but I am a newbie.

Any comments/suggestions?

Welcome to the Forum!

You should take it back to get it looked out.

It could deal with the oscillating weight.. I had that happen to me once but it resulted from dropping the watch...

I'd have them take a closer look at it. They would've given you a specific service report, so everything they did should well documented.

A rattle is definitely not something to overlook... take it to be looked at immediately. The oscillating weight would not produce a rattle.

oh they rattle alright, and it's cringeworthy. They get worn out over time and can start wobbling to the point that the hit the case while oscillating.

Left work early to bring the watch to RSC - they close at 5p. Ricky, the tech, looked at it. Came out and and said it was fine. It is the rotor or the movement. Everything was tight, he said. I told him I was a rolex rookie and I was sure that the sound had changed just in the last few days.

I guess it was just me. He was great about it. Went back and brought a beauty newish submariner out and showed me the movement inside it. He put the cover back on and we listened to it. It had a somewhat similar sound although a little quieter it seemed. Of course my watch is almost 45 years old so hey.
