exercise caution...I once chipped the crystal of my EXP2 while removing the #8 sparkplug out of a 351 Windsor housed in a 1969 Mustang engine compartment. the irony (and pain) was that I had just gotten the watch back from RSC servicing two weeks earlier.

Funny you mention, there is a Mustang in the house today :)

The watch is now off! Made for some interesting photos.

That car is beautiful. I was thinking about selling the Vette for a Mustang GT.

Here it is. 2012 Grand Sport. I'm not a fan of front plates and usually don't have mine on except for summertime. Down here at the shore it don't take much to get pulled over.

That's a cool plate and a gorgeous Vette.

And you're absolutely correct, I ran no front plate for a number of years but the tickets were adding up quickly.

I'd take it off when turning wrenches. however, I work in auto damage and wear my SDc everyday. I mostly get dirty and not dinged. The Rollie can handle a little dirt.

I don't understand all the hesitancy of wearing a Rolex for everything. These are tough watches, right? So, what's a scratch? It means we are out there in the world spending TIME doing fun things. I think working on cars is fun.

If he dings it or his hand slips off a wrench and he slams it against a wheel well hard, will that really damage the movement?

I'll tell ya what's crazy? I'm more careful with my $8000 car than I am with my $8000 watch.

Car work is one I'll leave the Sub off and put the G-Shock on. I'm always contorting my hands and arms in places they aren't supposed to be.. so I avoid the nice deep gouges if I can. While I don't necessarily baby my Sub I also try to avoid places I know there is a very high percentage of getting a nasty scratch.
