Which would you choose with a budget of $12000 to $13000...a used stainless steel Yachtmaster II 116680 or a new Deepsea Deep Blue?

Your budget is VERY VERY close to a new SS YMII from a trusted seller. I can't begin to explain how cool the YMII is. It's a buy and hold piece. And I have owned probably a dozen different Rolex. Nothing else like it in the lineup. The integrated bezel as part of the mechanism is the way of the future. YMII and Sky Dweller only two, for now. The significance of that innovation particularly for a company like Rolex is huge.

The DS BLUE is nice but I would not pay a premium over a regular DSSD for a glitzy dial. The DSSD also wears quite top heavy. So... YMII all day. But BNIB since you are soooo close money wise. Best of luck with your choice.

I Like the YMII better, more unique with the chrono. But I'd never use the chrono as I don't time regattas. I'll vote for it but in reality one is a tool for on the water and the other for under the water. Where will you spend your time? On land still isn't under water so that would lead me to the YM II.

D blue, then save and buy the YMII later. I use a date function a lot more than timing regattas. :) Both are very cool watches.

I have gone back and forth between these two myself. I think I will go with the ss ym2. Both are really cool but I can't get over how tall the dssd is on my wrist. I have only tried it on at the ad though so no time to get used to it.
