Guys, had my first daytona for the last few days and regularly I found the screw down bottons unscrewed. Am I the only one to whom this happens?
Maybe I have to tighten them more?

hmm.. maybe worth checking with the AD/service as water can get in when they are unscrewed.
mine are always really tight.

Yeah. Maybe need to toghten a lot more. Dont like when they are open!
Not really worried about water, the watch should be water resistent even with these guys open.

They don't affect water resistsnce, their function is to stop you from pressing them underwater

This might sound, well, sacrilegious, yet perhaps a small bit of Loctite blue. Just a very small dot of it nearer the case side of the screw as applied with the tip of a toothpick.

Not true all the screw down on the pushers are to stop you activating the chrono if not needed .But the pushers have activated and been tested on forum down at 30m by a French dive team without any problem. And the modern day Daytona with the pushers screwed down has been tested down to 63m 207FT underwater without any problem.This depth would be far deeper that most recreational divers would dive they would limit to around 35m 40m .Even if the pushers are unscrewed no dust or water can get in the case even if fully submersed in water, but not wise to activate fully underwater or have crown unscrewed and they just need to be finger tight and no more.

Not to hijack the thread, but when I unscrew my crown, the counter clockwise unscrew gives me a weird clicking, unscrewing the opposite of winding. I'm wondering if this is normal?

the two pushers have two o rings each inside the tube. the screw down portion has no seals at all. they are there only to prevent unintended action of the chrono functions

Haven't notice mine loosening themselves under normal wear.

cover the screw down part with a small bit of material so as not to cause damage, then get some pliers and twist, depending how much force is needed you might want to use a hammer on the pliers.

That should stop them unscrewing

Same here; finger tight is enough to make them they stay put. This works in both the open and closed positions, by the way.

I generally keep mine unscrewed almost all the time since I use the chrono regularly when I'm wearing it — including when I'm in/under water.

Mine have never loosened on me, but I feel like they definitely can if your active enough. For the most part they should be able to screw down pretty tight.
