12 Watches. 29 years. Collection complete.
Ok. A bit tough to write.
29th April I picked up my grail watch. The completion of a big journey. My wife said in the morning. "Good luck with the watch." At 13.34 I got a call as I was admiring the watch at home. My wife had been killed in a horse accident. So the Grail watch has become something rather special. Perpetual Love. |

Steve, I am so sorry to read this. I re-read your original thread of a similar title only two weeks ago, and so I smiled when I saw this thread pop up just now. My smile did not last long.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family at what must be the most awful of times. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Clive

I'm truly sorry for your loss. I just found the long thread that was started a couple years back and read through it a couple of weeks ago. It brought some humanity to the forum and I'm truly sorry to read this now. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Watches mean nothing they are just things. So sorry for your loss. What a devastating thread. I'm so so sorry. I hope your family and friends are close so you are not alone at the moment.

Sorry for your loss. I am glad you find solace in something that we each admire, your time piece. Prayers to you and your family.

Sorry to post this thread, as I know this forum is about watches.
It is a terrible thread in one respect, but if our partners did not support us we would not be able to get our watches. My wife accepted my collection, and we had great fun looking at the posts on the original thread. Watches are timepieces. They measure the passing of the years. Second by second. And at any time those of us that wear watches- will stop. The watch will continue. This is my wife's watch. |
