Same 1530 on eBay and Crown and Caliber
Hi there I'm new to watch market and aftermarket sales but I've been active in other collecting circles in past. One thing you often see is pieces owned by individuals listing on multiple distribution sites.
At same time I know for watches in particular people also sometimes swipe photos and post fake listings. I was looking at this on Crown and Caliber: https://www.crownandcaliber.com/buy/...-1530-swi16196 And then I came across what seems the same watch on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/272048855771 Note the prices are different, and the seller on eBay is swisswatchexpo. On cursory review I figure this looks like both are respectable entities, and like I surmise above they're just listing it more than once hoping to find a buyer. Price higher on CandC due to commission. But I am interested to hear any commentary from folks here on the practice in general and of course also always curious what you think of the watch and price. I would expect both eBay and CandC technically have a policy that prevents multiple listings like this? And what's up with the red marker on the case back in the photos? Dry erase?
