Help. 24h to decide. 116618 or 116718
Agonizing over which to get. Would primarily be an aesthetic choice as I have a gmt function and black sub. Leaving for trip early Saturday and need to make a choice prior.

Seems the sub suits you better. I'm sure others will come along.

Hmm...tough one. Two of my absolute faves. I think the GMT is a little "flashier", while the sub is more of a "natural" beauty. So...just depends on what look you're after. Or, heaven forbid, which one you like the most.

Sub with a very close second choice being the GMT. I am not sure if I would get tired of the green.

GMT sits a little lower and is marginally narrower in the lugs but the Sub has the BLUE factor and that's what would decide it for me. Both are incredible Rolexes..choice is blue or green really.

Hmmm...I'm not a YG guy, but that would be tough. Big fan of green but that blue looks pretty darn good on the Sub...
Basically, I am no help. If you can't choose, flip a coin or go with whichever is priced better Think there was a movie where someone said something like: flip a coin....when its in the air, you'll then know which one you were hoping for |

Ouch, tough one. I'd have to flip a coin. No, wait. Submariner. Slightly.
Good luck! |

Now if you did not have any other watches and had to choose between the 116618 and 116718, then that is another matter altogether. Both are amazing and beautiful timepieces. From a pure aesthetic choice, I would choose the Sub. But for a more practical choice, I would choose the 116718 due to its GMT function. I own both, but would choose the GMT over the Sub just because of the GMT function as I have more use for it.

A minority opinion perhaps, but I think the blue dial and bezel work better with white as opposed to yellow gold. I know it's not an option, but if I were jonesing for a PM Sub, it's be the 116619 instead of the 116618.
HOWEVER, I'd pick the yellow gold/green dial GMT over all three every day and twice on Sunday. It's a stunner in the metal, and it's one of the few watches that (imho) somehow manages to says "boardroom" and "f#@k you" at the same time. |

Gmt would be my pick. The full gold with blue on the sub is just too in the face for me. Lol

If it's yellow gold, I choose the GMT. I preferred white gold sub myself.

My personal preference is for the 116619, so I would go for the 718 here and add the WG sub later perhaps ;)
