Rolex grey market VS Brexit

So the majority of grey market Rolex's come from overseas. Some grey markets are offering an "International Rolex Warranty" with the watches they sell. Now I presume that's the standard Rolex warranty that is remaining with the watch but how will this affect us in the UK if we need warranty work doing to our time peice?

So let's say I buy a 2016 Sub from John at Grey market jewellers in London. John got his Sub from an AD in Italy. John is selling this Sub with the remaining Rolex warranty (which originated in Italy). My Sub is losing time quite a lot so I take it to a Rolex dealer UK with my warranty card (to remind you - originated in Italy)... Will their be any problem having this work done even though we are now out of the EU? Surely not I thought but my local AD told me otherwise!!!

Apparently he's heard rumours that this will be the case. Now is this usual salesman talk trying to seal a deal or has anybody heard the same thing?

Did he also tell you that if we left the EU the Loch Ness Monster would come and eat us all.

A load of tosh I know. It was his immediate answer when I told him I'd got a pretty good deal from a grey market dealer

And there was your first mistake, imo, mentioning grey market.

Have to agree and can see a few other European countries doing the same as the UK, and they have just released one of our many flying Welsh dragons to eat those missed by the Loch Ness monster.Afraid today many AD staff not always speak from mouth, but may make noises from rear end and inside dress/trousers ,much like a bull - it's called bulls**t. .

Rolex warranty follows the watch. Accordingly there is no difference whether there is Brexit or not. Salesman in AD usually talking a lot of bullshit. e.g. my saleswoman was not even able to properly wind my Rolex when I bought it in Rome. She messed up with dates.

Many TRF members know much more about specific models of Rolex comparing to average sales persons in AD. For me sales person is required in order to show the watch and negotiate discount (higher discounts are usually have to be approved by owners of AD or general managers).

Do you tell every business that you can purchase their products for less?
