I actually do prefer the zenith over the 116520 so holding off on the new daytona won't really "haunt" me.
Just saw this post by you. That's a zillion x a zillion times better than a 16520. Honestly, I'd take that over a Platonia any and every day of the week! Very Sweet!!!

I like your other AP choices too for more dressy. Of all of your watches I thing your AP fits your style best from what I've seen. I wouldn't buy the 16520. I'd prefer a Zenith Daytona or a ceramic Daytona but huge waiting list to get at retail.
I've 100% considered the diver, in fact I've start many threads about it, but my ROO kind of fills that spot. Plus, although I'm not looking for a "dress watch" per se, I am looking for something that works well with a suit or even tux.

Try a Patek Annual Calendar or a World Time. Possibly a Lange 1.

I believe that you're overthinking and over analyzing Chad. Take a second look at how that fluted DJ that you posted slides into your collection. It's a perfect fit my friend.

Nice move Chad, you have some big b@$lls to pull that off already, can't wait to see what's coming. But I think you need a nice TT DJll, looks amazing with a suit as you are looking for something a little more dressy.

I came across this pic. A good example of the RO with a suit.

Another vote for the 15400. I have worn Daytonas with suits fine, but not sure I would do with a tux. I have however, worn a 15400 with a tux before.

First of all I love your grey themes ROO. You've turned me on to this piece. I think a white dial Royal Oak would be the way to go for a versatile dress piece. I am also a huge fan of the AP Diver but that is obviously far more casual and a similar vibe to your ROO.

If the Datejust interests you, I'd hold til the new stainless steel DJ41 pieces come out at Basel next year. If you don't see anything you like you will be able to get the DJII pieces cheap.

I would look again at something with a GMT complication. I know they are not traditionally dress pieces, it does seem to be a complication your collection is lacking. Best of luck. I love your taste and recently picked up an LV for myself. In no small part due to your gorgeous pictures.

Which is why it is a great idea to have both watches when you're trying to decide which one's a keeper...nicely done.

Chad, I went with this a few months ago, I have a more sporty collection and felt the need for something like this and I couldn't be happier

I'd purchase either, your fathers nos 16520 or a white dial 15400.
