Incoming Explorer

Thanks to Brexit and the likelihood of an imminent price increase with our weakened British Pound, I gave up waiting for the new explorer. I tried one on in Zürich but the exchange rate didn't make me too happy. Frankly I find this one just as attractive and didn't notice the hand length issue.

Fits fantastically under a dress cuff and I'm a very big fan of the 39mm size, being a recent convert from my old 34mm IWC. I've recently had to sell a sub due to struggles with the size, and find this just suits me perfectly. Can't even feel it on my wrist!

Apologies for the quick pic - buying experience lasted longer than my lunch break from work... Oops!

Ps please be kind, my wallet is feeling the burn of my impulse purchase ;)

Hahahaha! Give it a good 35 winds and see how it goes.

Anyway, great choice, congretulations! I'm 18 months in now and not a day goes past that I don't admire the beauty of this watch. It is my perfect companion. I don't think you will regret it.

Lovely profile picture you have there. Might have to try and replicate it. Cheers for the encouragement!

The only thing you will regret is not buying this sooner. The new changes are nice, but not enough for me to upgrade. Perfectly in love with the hands and the WG 369.

Mine, wearing her summer digs, says hello!!

Nice pickup. It's also on my list but I'm limited to one a year so I have to wait!

So it broke ... And confirmed broken by the AD watchmaker. Not to worry because I have a new one on my wrist now ;) smooth and efficient service from Wempe - would definitely recommend. Most knowledgeable AD in London that I've been to so far.

Incredible how many Asian tourists were in the AD, looking at the currency rates in disbelief and buying up every Patek in sight!
