Chris Evans has left top gear!
FINALLY! He has quit!
They obviously won't have Ckarkson back, who would you all like to see take it over? I actually personally think they should shelve Top Gear. It was amazing with Clarkson, May and Hammond (even though I'm not a Hammond fan). I think it's a tough show for anyone to take on, it will NEVER be as good as them 3 presenters and their banter |

LeBlanc is doing well. Add way more Harris and Rory along with Sabine and it'll be fine. Jordan wasn't bringing much to the party either, IMO. The rally cross isn't working for me. Maybe with a RWD or driftable car it might be fun. |

I like the show for what it is, Matt is ok, but let's be honest, it's not Matt, it's Joey... And all I keep thinking is where the hell are Chandler and Ross...
Glad Chris is gone, don't think ginger people should be on tv... (just kidding :o)))

I watched one American version, the one where they pitted the Mustang, the Camaro and the Dodge against each other to see what was the best sports car, and then they WIMPED out and would not do a side by side to see what car was best. And worse yet, when testing speed, accel., turning, etc. they did it with obstacles in place so you could never see which car did better or worse....they made it a useless farce
I am sure this was done so as not to piss off GM, Ford and Dodge but it so blatant and corrupt that it infuriated me I never watched the show again. |

Amazon's version will be out at the end of the year and all will be well again. With Amazon giving the old team millions and huge creative control, it should be automotive nirvana

I would let it run as is, I thought it was getting better the less Evans was on screen. And as much as I liked previous too gear it was starting to get a little too staged.

Can't imagine Le Blanc will be good on Top Gear. What I've seen sofar he acts like the actor he is, B-grade. Sorry. The man was great on friends, but he is an horrible actor, and he acts like one on the Top Gear show.
BBC, your show Top Gear is ruined. Just can-it already.

Glad Evans is gone. There was no requirement for him to constantly shout! you are mic'd up man lol he was also as funny as a kick in the stones.
I think that it is time to let go. Drop Top Gear in its current format and completely redesign the format of the show. They were never going to live up to Clarkson and co so they shouldn't have tried to re-create what they had. I really like Chris Harris and Rory. both of them are very, very good at what they do although I don't think they could present the show itself.

I really like LeBlanc on the show. I think Chris Harris is more than capable of stepping up to the full-time hosting position, and I hope he does just that. I started watching the show with poor expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised. I hope they keep on going with LeBlanc.

I think Matt does great - he's a real car guy who can actually drive, and his "normal" (i.e. not acting) demeanor is kind of quiet and low-key, which is nice change. If it's true that Evans has gone, I wish him well, but I'm glad to see him leave.

I am in the camp that thinks even a bad Top Gear is better than no Top Gear. It has t been as bad but it's still better than not having anything. I don't think Evans brought anything to the show.
It will take time to developer some sort of chemistry for whomever they bring on. The US TG was horrible at first. Now it's ok that they have been together for a while. |

I wished they had kept Chris Evans, brought on Ricky Gervais as a producer and made Evans' segments in the format of An Idiot Abroad. That would have been funny

It'll never be the same without the original trio. I'd rather see it scrapped than flim-flamming around trying to be something it isn't and not knowing what that something is

EJ is always good for a laugh, but I’d like to have seen him do some presenting. Sabine is easy on the eye, but being the best driver amongst them all (Harris maybe excepted), she doesn’t really bring a female/girly element to the show. She’s a female Clarkson, in effect…”POWER!!” Harris hasn’t really found his feet as much as was expected – very nervy in the studio, but grand in the car and doing the voiceover for the VT. The other chap (Rory?) seems somewhat out of his depth, and in awe of the show or his fellow co-presenters. CE was just being CE – which was fine back in the 90s and for TFI Friday, but not for TG. There was also something weird about him wearing the same outfit each week, and the modified format of SIARPC was just dreadful. |
