good deal for daytona?
Just picked up a stainless white daytona series m from an AD for $9200 plus tax, which adds up to $9844. I see a lot online for about the same price. I didnt have much time to decide. Been searching for a daytona for years, finally a friend found one for me and said there was a store he goes to that had one available. Would be willing to sell it if i came in next day and paid cash. Was it worth gettin from an authorized dealer or gray market? Is the list price $9200, cause i see some places online that says its a lot less, but it might be and old price. What do you think, was it a good deal for almost $10k nowadays?

Since the last price increase and the rough US economy, the gray/secondary market prices have come down a bit. The SS Daytona market (and the entire luxury goods market) has softened up. There is still some flipping potential, but not like before. MSRP is $9,200.

Getting one from an AD at MSRP is your best bet. And a much better deal than going grey.
Please tell me where you see SS Daytonas online for less than MSRP.

In essance you paid MSRP for a Daytona. I'd say that was a good deal. Congrats on your purchase.

For the Daytona, any time that you do not pay a premium, it's a good deal.........

If I had the opportunity to purchase one at an actual AD MSRP - I would do immediately.

It's an even better deal
when you didn't have to buy other watches from the AD to build the "relationship" before they offer you one.

thanks guys, I guess since there was no wait, it was a good deal. Was just concerned about tax. No other place would let me get on the waiting list. I dont like to purchase multiple watches from one store, so i could never build a "relationship" with any one store. Ive been lookin for a daytona for years, never got a chance at one until now. Guess im pretty lucky. Will be on my wrist from now on...

very good deal.. indeed
i m still contemplating a pre-owned 16520 white dial from a local second hand shop...the only thing that kept me from buying it is there is no box/paper for it. |
